Business Quality Systems

Creating Quality Companies

What is involved in setting up a Quality Management System?

Initially we conduct a "present status review" to determine your requirements to satisfy ISO standards. Most companies have basic procedures and forms and these are built on or modified to reflect an organisation's processes and compliance outcomes required by customers. Following the review, documentation, training and implementation occurs. After implementation the system is monitored internally allowing adjustments and employee familiarization prior to external auditing by a recognised certifying body. Our consultants are with you all the way.

Can Quality Management work with existing quality control systems - such as "CMM"?

Quality Control Systems minimise production errors and validate developmental processes in delivering quality products but with little connection to overall business functions and strategies. Quality Management incorporates process control and enhances entire output by installing company wide monitoring. A Quality Management System overarches all quality control systems.

Our firm does 4 or 5 jobs a year for clients requiring a Quality System - is it worth it?

Yes - firstly it guarantees the 4 or 5 jobs remain and possibly grow. There is added benefit of being able to Tender/Supply to an expanding range of customers who also require quality systems. In addition the Quality Management becomes your way of doing business, ensuring all jobs/contracts, employees and customers benefit. Quality Management suits both large and small firms.

Once we put in a Quality Management System how do we maintain it?

Business Quality Systems provides training and induction for companies and assists with post-implementation auditing and guidence, system reviews and fine tuning. However, our aim is to give employees the skills to run the system internally.

How much does it cost?

The major portion of cost in setting up any new system involves time. The more time put into system development (in the initial stages), the lower the end cost. Once in place a Quality Management System results in reduced "reworking", heightened customer satisfaction and repeat business. Business Quality Systems consultancy fees are competitive in the market place.
